About Us

Parenting can be tough! But, help for parents is available! Healthy Start of North Central Florida offers a home based parenting program in Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Hamilton, Marion and Putnam Counties.

Parents and caregivers with a child 12 months of age or younger are encouraged to learn more about the program by contacting a MIECHV parent educator in their county or completing the Contact Us form.

Healthcare providers and community agencies are encouraged to refer parents and caregivers to the program as well.

MIECHV aims to raise the bar on all services provided to parents and their children. The program is working to help communities support happier, healthier and more productive families, leverage funding, and create a continuum of services and support for families with young children.

MIECHV is a federal program implemented in Florida through the Florida Association of Healthy Start Coalitions, Inc. and is funded by a grant from the U. S. Department of Health & Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
